Buying Tagro in Kitsap County
Tagro is made by the City of Tacoma, and the city sells it directly at its Tacoma facility for less per yard than we charge. That is worth knowing before you order. What you are paying for here is the trip you do not have to make.
Fetching it yourself means a loaded round trip across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, which tolls eastbound at $4.50 with a Good To Go pass or $5.50 in cash, plus fuel and a truck that can carry a yard of wet compost. Tacoma also applies a three yard minimum and a fifteen yard maximum on deliveries outside the city limits. Harbor Soils has no minimum at all, and we deliver on the Kitsap side of the bridge.
If you own a suitable truck and you only want a yard or two, driving to Tacoma will cost you less. If you do not, or you would rather not spend a Saturday hauling compost, having it dropped where you need it is the simpler option.
Tagro compared to our other composts
